Fantasmage returns

Andrés (guitar) and Nico (drums and vocals) have reactivated Fantasmage, a garage and pop cell straight out of Vigo. From 2013 to 2024 they remained inactive, and now they return with a preview single from what will be a new LP, to be released by Humo Internacional this September.

In their new project Aurora Roja, Jose Pazos (Futuro Terror), Óscar Mezquita (countless bands and Flexidiscos) and Paula Guillem (Perdón por Todo) go all in on pop. A pure, bright, minimalist pop with a previously unheard textural delicacy.

“Mano a mano,” the second preview from Presa’s upcoming album

By |16 May, 2025|Categories: Presa|Tags: |

While the world spins wildly in its spiral of hyperstimulation and digital slop, Presa continues walking down the narrow corridor that only certain bands dare to cross: the one that leads from emotional intensity to unadorned rawness, from whisper to howl, from filtered light to abyssal flashes. A corridor with no mirrors—only closed doors and songs that open like forced locks.

“Hemos roto los espejos” was one of the songs they wrote four years ago, and which they recorded not long afterwards. That first version of the track was released at the end of 2022 on a self-released EP that has since disappeared from streaming platforms.

They’re not The Residents, The Locust, or Melt-Banana, but Ultramega undoubtedly follow the path toward the summit of the most deranged discographies—those that are hardest to catalogue and trace. “EP03” delves deeper into the delicately orchestrated sonic violence of its predecessors, and is now available to stream on all platforms.

“Amor Absoluto,” the first book published by Humo Intl

By |7 April, 2025|Categories: Otros|Tags: |

Despite having released more than a hundred references in its nearly ten years of activity, “Amor Absoluto” is the first printed edition from Humo Intl. The book—combining written passages with photographs and visual artworks—celebrates the 13 years during which Reserva Espiritual de Occidente was led by musicians and artists Svali and Wences Lamas, who were also romantically involved during that time.

Preview of Presa’s new album

What began as a twisted solo experimental project has evolved into an ambitious band, like a determined and contemporary version of the Bad Seeds. Samuel establishes himself as a modern crooner—feverish and honest—now backed by a band in a state of grace, completely devoted to a shared vision.

.bd. join Humo Internacional

This sextet, born in the prairies of southern Madrid and seasoned by long hours on public transport, has gradually refined its early shoegaze into an irresistible pop: fresh, innocent, delicate and slightly melancholic, with lyrics that mention subjects as foreign to the urbanite as olive trees, water reservoirs, reeds or frogs.
