Ultramega are not made for easy consumption. Their mix of guitars that seem to have a will of their own, basslines pulsing with arrhythmia, collapsing drums and a decidedly unpredictable voice places them somewhere of their own within the musical chaos. Their deranged and uncontrolled universe doesn’t just irritate: it fascinates, provokes nervous laughter, confusion and—if you let it—a strange kind of devotion.
