Troya se incorpora a Humo Internacional

Troya is the solo project of Elena del Frade, an exploration of a kind of pop that doesn’t shout, but whispers. The fusion of austere guitars and dreamlike synthesizers, built from the sound of a drum machine demo, comes together with lyrics that draw from everyday life and simplicity to offer an intimate and profound perspective on inexperience and youth.

Although far from her hometown of Gijón, Troya continues to carry her home with her wherever she goes. She does so alongside a band formed by her friends Lucía Corte and Ariane Álvarez, who learned to play their instruments for this project, reclaiming music as a form of expression accessible to anyone, without the need for prior specialization. They are joined by Inés del Frade, Elena’s sister and lifelong companion, a member of all her previous bands since childhood and a fundamental figure in the continuation of this story.

Born in 2023, the project continues to explore themes such as friendship, distrust, and youth, understanding pop as an accessible and revolutionary way of transforming the intimate into song. For Troya, music can be a space for connection, learning, and personal expression.

Her debut album will be released through Humo Internacional next October.
